"It is always like this- empty all the time," says one shopassistant in a Tina R store in Galleria Suceava shopping centre.Andreea, manager of a clothing store in Shopping City Suceava, issomewhat more optimistic, saying "sales have risen over the lasttwo weeks because workers have returned from Italy and Spain. Salesare less significant at the weekend, because the weather is hot,and people leave the city."
Suceava is the city with the highest density of modern retailspaces per capita.
