Romanian security solutions producer BitDefender is hiring 34Romanians for its Romanian, German and US offices, in fields suchas programming and software development. In Romania, an entry-levelprogrammer earns between 500 and 1,000 euros, and a softwaredeveloper between 500 and 1,200 euros. "We want experience in theIT area, particularly programming, software development ortesting," Carmen Buruiana, HR manager of the company, told ZF.Vacant jobs are largely in research, innovation and technologylabs. BitDefender has almost 600 employees in Romania, in Iasi,Cluj, Timisoara and Bucharest. The company holds offices inGermany, Spain, United Kingdom and the US. BitDefender operates inmore than 180 countries, and Romania accounts for just 5% in thecompany's total turnover, according to Razvan Valceanu, BitDefendercountry manager. The company holds a 30-40% share of the domesticsecurity solutions market valued at 10m euros per year.
