Romanian security solutions producer BitDefender is hiring 34 Romanians for its Romanian, German and US offices, in fields such as programming and software development. In Romania, an entry-level programmer earns between 500 and 1,000 euros, and a software developer between 500 and 1,200 euros. "We want experience in the IT area, particularly programming, software development or testing," Carmen Buruiana, HR manager of the company, told ZF. Vacant jobs are largely in research, innovation and technology labs. BitDefender has almost 600 employees in Romania, in Iasi, Cluj, Timisoara and Bucharest. The company holds offices in Germany, Spain, United Kingdom and the US. BitDefender operates in more than 180 countries, and Romania accounts for just 5% in the company's total turnover, according to Razvan Valceanu, BitDefender country manager. The company holds a 30-40% share of the domestic security solutions market valued at 10m euros per year.
