Teraplast: growth forces us to relocate

05.10.2007, 20:36 10

Teraplast Bistrita wants to relocate its entire production to the industrial area of the town, with the move and development of the new location expected to require around 28 million euros in investments. The relocation is scheduled for completion at the end of 2009. The group acquired a 22-hectare plot on the outskirts of Bistrita county, and completed the relocation process for its first plant in August, which currently manufactures sandwich panels for commercial and industrial constructions, with a second PVC plant to be built by the middle of next year. The relocation process will continue with three other plants that belong to the Teraplast group. "We decided to move because the current location is much too small for the projects we have under development. The relocation of our current production facilities will cost approximately 6 million euros, but our intention is to develop these facilities, which will bring overall investments to 28 million euros," Emanoil Viciu, general manager and chairman of the Board of Directors of Teraplast Bistrita, told ZF Transilvania.
