The Timisoara-based dairy producer Simultan will invest 2 million euros this year to modernise its dairy product plant in Ortisoara, Timis county. Half the investment will be covered by SAPARD funds and the other half by the company''s own funds. "We want to tap into the Capital''s market, where we are not present at the moment," stated Florin Herbai, Simultan''s manager. He went on to say that the capital area is not their only target, but also Brasov, Prahova, Dambovita and Arges. In the first quarter of this year, the company will open a warehouse in Bucharest. One of the factors for the growth of Simultan is the expansion of its retail networks, in particular those in the West of the country. The company already produces for Profi and has had collaboration offers from the Real and the Spar chains. "We are happy to see that there are several retailers, which have established their headquarters in Timisoara," explains Herbai. The company expects a 20 million RON (5.5 million euro) turnover this year, 20% higher than in 2005. ZF
