Porsche sales go down in August

Porsche Romania, the leading importer on the domestic market, has slowed down its growth rate to 5% in the first eight months, with figures coming close to the estimates made by Brent Valmar, general manager of the company early this year. Porsche Romania, which had a business volume of more than one billion euros last year, posted a total sales volume of 40,000 units in the first eight months, an increase of 5%, given that the growth rate in the first half stood at 7% and reached 6% seven months into the year. According to ZF's calculations, the value of sales of the Porsche group on the Romanian market stood at 700 million euros in the first eight months of the year. The largest importer witnessed a 7.6% decline in sales in August, the second decline this year, with the first, 7.2% registered in March. Brent Valmar, general manager of Porsche Romania estimated no more than 5% growth for the sales of the biggest importer this year, to a volume of 58,000 to 60,000 units. He could not be reached for comment on these results.
