Pepsi Americas in September will start production in the new plant of Dragomiresti, located at the exit way from Bucharest, as it finished the first construction phase. This is the US producer's first greenfield project in Romania, first announced in 2007, shortly after the conclusion of the deal to entirely take over Quadrant Amroq Beverages. Pepsi Americas representatives initially put investments in the Romanian factory at 100m dollars, but now the officially announced value stands at 150m dollars. The plant is built on a 30,000-sqm area, but the land plot acquired in Dragomiresti in 2007 is almost three times larger, of 80,000 square metres, meaning the firm plans to further expand the facility. By 2010-2011, the producer also plans to start exports from Dragomiresti.
