Orange Romania's revenues will exceed one billion euros by the end of this year, against 870 million euros registered in 2005, after having gone up to 788 million euros in the first nine months, announced the operator's chief executive, Richard Moat yesterday. Moat did not provide any estimates as to the company's yearend profit. "In terms of the company's profitability, I am not in a position to comment on the development of this indicator. Orange Romania is a branch of the France Telecom group, and data regarding net profit is published only in a consolidated form,"said Moat. Orange Romania posted revenue worth 788 million euros in the first nine months of this year, a 25% increase against last year, due to the increase in the customer base by 20.5%, to 7.5 million, according to the quarterly financial report published by France Telecom yesterday. In the third quarter, the company posted revenue worth 284 million euros, a 21.8% increase against the same time last year.
