Motoractive Leasing, a company taken over last year by GE Money together with Domenia Credit and Ralfi IFN, granted funding worth 190 million euros in 2007, up 28% on the previous year. "In 2007, we focused our efforts mainly on the equipment and lorry segment, which saw a significant increase, and derived 26% of the value of goods funded in that period. In 2008, we intend to consolidate our position on the car leasing and the equipment leasing market, and focus more on individual clients," says Felicia Relenschi, general manager of Motoractive Leasing. The remaining 74% of the funding granted by the leasing company were aimed at the acquisition of cars and of light commercial vehicles. The number of contracts closed last year stands at 9,600, with 75% of the company's clients being corporate entities. According to Motoractive Leasing's general manager, the increase in 2007 was based on the launch of a new product, '7-year leasing', and a strengthened sales team, as well as territorial expansion.
