Kuma Romania, local subsidiary of the Danish sanitary ware manufacturer Kuma, has recently completed an investment worth 2 million euros in a production facility in Banesti, near Campina, Prahova county. The investment will be recovered in about 10 years. "The investment was necessary due to the relentless growth of demand for new products and has been made possible by the growth of the company over the last few years, which has ranged from 25 to 50% per year," stated Hans Christiansen, general manager of the Danish manufacturer. Kuma Produkter Denmark manufactures bathroom washbasins and kitchen sinks and counters made of natural materials such as marble, granite and mosaic. The Danish have been present on the local market since 1999 and own a production centre in Campina. "40% of the profit made in Campina has been used in the new investment," stated Camelia Martinescu, CEO of Kuma Romania.
