The biggest e-commerce solutions integrator on the Romanian market of e-payment systems, Gecad ePayment, expects to derive turnover worth three million euros this year, Carmen Sebe, Gecad ePayment CEO, told ZF. In 2005, the company posted turnover worth approximately 100,000 euros. "The reason behind this considerable growth is the fast-paced development of the e-commerce market in Romania, complemented by the company's policy of expansion on international markets through Avangate, the e-commerce platform exclusively designed for software products," said Carmen Sebe. She says, "there is a single processor of online payments on the Romanian market, namely RomCard. At the same time, there are four banks providing e-commerce services-BRD, BCR, Raiffeisen and Banca Tiriac, all of them processing online payments through the same RomCard. The other competitors on the market are e-commerce solution integrators Gecad ePayment and Dotcommerce".
