Adrian Porfir, 43, who has filled the position of generalmanager with Piritex distributor of building materials andfinishings for the past two years, has recently taken over theposition of manager for South-Eastern Europe with Joris Ide Group,a Belgian firm of steel-made building products with 16 plants in 7countries.
"From the new position, I will supervise the productionfacilities of Romania (Buziaş), Hungary and Croatia, where thegroup operates under the name of Megaprofil and employs severalhundred people," said Porfir, who fills a newly created position,reporting directly to the Belgian group's CEO.
Megaprofil in 2009 generated 29.4m-euro turnover, down over 40%from 2008, when it reached 51.9m-euro turnover. At the same time,in 2009 the company employing 128 people posted 3.4m-euro losses,after having generated 4.9m-euro income in the previous year,according to Trade Registry data.
Porfir will supervise the group's operations in the three countriesfrom Romania.
