Eurolines intends to open 24 new agencies on the Romanianmarket, either its own or under franchise agreements, with thenetwork set to reach over 70 agencies, said Dragoş Anastasiu, ownerof the company. "You have to invest even while the crisis is notover yet in order to reap the benefits when recession is over. Weexpect this crisis to be nearing its end," Anastasiu said.
The decision to develop the network comes in the wake of anupward trend experienced by Eurolines agencies in the first threemonths of this year. "We have recorded a 30% rise against the sametime last year. Also a contributor to the turnover increase was thesignificant demand for coach tickets (up 24%), with the businessline accounting for 31% of the company's turnover.
