Eurolines wants to open 24 agencies this year

Eurolines intends to open 24 new agencies on the Romanian market, either its own or under franchise agreements, with the network set to reach over 70 agencies, said Dragoş Anastasiu, owner of the company. "You have to invest even while the crisis is not over yet in order to reap the benefits when recession is over. We expect this crisis to be nearing its end," Anastasiu said.

The decision to develop the network comes in the wake of an upward trend experienced by Eurolines agencies in the first three months of this year. "We have recorded a 30% rise against the same time last year. Also a contributor to the turnover increase was the significant demand for coach tickets (up 24%), with the business line accounting for 31% of the company's turnover.
