Dacia Sandero, the fifth model built on the Logan platform, will be officially launched next week and delivered to its first buyers at the end of June. The prices for Romania and neighbouring markets have not been officially released yet, but Dacia representatives have already announced that the top version will cost no more than 9,500 euros. Although the car is manufactured in Mioveni, the Romanian launch takes place after the French one, which was held in May. Official prices on the French market start from 7,800 euros, and amount to 9,500 euros for the most expensive version. Dacia's first hatchback is available with two types of petrol engine (1.4-litre, 75 HP or 1.6-litre, 90 HP), as well as a diesel-powered engine (75 HP or 90 HP). According to Jacques Daniel, Dacia's commercial manager, the standard guarantee for the new Sandero is one and a half years in Romania, up to 100,000 kilometres, while for other markets the standard guarantee is three years. The difference is due to the costs and the higher sales price in other European countries. Sandero was first built in Renault's facility in Curitiba, Brazil, after the French manufacturer decided to sell the version on the South-American market, before launching the model on the European market.
