AIG Lincoln will invest over 30 million euros in a real estate project in Romania, the second such project by the American company on the local market, with works due to start next year, according to David Lawrence, regional manager of the company. Lawrence has not specified where the project will be located, but mentioned however that it will not be conducted in Bucharest, where AIG Lincoln is to start a project in partnership with investment fund Fabian Romania Property to build an office building, in the wake of an investment worth around 40 million euros. He said the second project could be mixed one - residential, commercial and retail projects, while the company will settle the final details this year. The cities of Cluj and Constanta could be the targets for future investments on the office, retail, logistics and residential segments, according to Lawrence. Works on the first project in Romania, developed on Barbu Vacarescu street, in the North of Bucharest, will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2009. The building will have 26,000 square metres of office space and a 14,000 square-metre car park.
