Aedificia and Romtest sign the contract for National Theatre

The contract for the rehabilitation and expansion of theBucharest National Theatre (TNB), worth around 50m euros, was wonby the consortium made up of Aedificia Carpaţi, a companycontrolled by businessman Petre Badea, and Romtest Electronic,owned by businessman Ion Tudoran, according to a contract awardnotice published on the Electronic System For Public Procurement(SEAP).

"On SEAP, the award notice was published in due time, as thecontract was signed a month ago. Works have already begun in Marchand are due to be completed in 28 months (in June 2013 i.e.). Inthe first two or three months, works will centre on taking down thefaçade of the theatre's Big Hall and strengthening section B,between the Big Hall and the Operetta Theatre," Bogdan Trâmbaciu,head of the Project Management Unit, the institution in charge withorganising investment tenders within the Culture Ministry.
