Businessmen Ovidiu Tender, Radu Ouatu, Florea Diaconu andAlexandru Horpos compete with international giants in theconstruction sector to achieve Bucharest's most awaitedinfrastructure work in Bucharest, the Drumul Taberei tube.
20 consortiums in 11 countries are fighting over two contractswith a total worth estimated at 1.16 billion RON (276 millioneuros), excluding VAT, for the construction of the supportingstructure of the 5th Underground Line between Drumul Taberei andEroilor. The tender is in the "pre-qualifying stage" for the twosections, Raul Doamnei - Hasdeu (920 million RON) and Romancierilor- Valea Ialomitei (246 million RON), with Metrorex receiving 36bids in all, 18 for each section.
Other consortiums that have submitted offers include Romaniancompanies SIRD Timisoara and Prospectiuni (held by Ovidiu Tender),Delta ACM (Florea Diaconu), Hidroconstructia (management andemployees), Straco Grup (Alexandru and Traian Horpos), AB Constructand Cominco (held by Catalin Gemanar, Florin Rusu and SorinApostol).
