Who's vying for the most eagerly awaited infrastructure project, the tube in Drumul Taberei?

Businessmen Ovidiu Tender, Radu Ouatu, Florea Diaconu and Alexandru Horpos compete with international giants in the construction sector to achieve Bucharest's most awaited infrastructure work in Bucharest, the Drumul Taberei tube.
20 consortiums in 11 countries are fighting over two contracts with a total worth estimated at 1.16 billion RON (276 million euros), excluding VAT, for the construction of the supporting structure of the 5th Underground Line between Drumul Taberei and Eroilor. The tender is in the "pre-qualifying stage" for the two sections, Raul Doamnei - Hasdeu (920 million RON) and Romancierilor - Valea Ialomitei (246 million RON), with Metrorex receiving 36 bids in all, 18 for each section.

Other consortiums that have submitted offers include Romanian companies SIRD Timisoara and Prospectiuni (held by Ovidiu Tender), Delta ACM (Florea Diaconu), Hidroconstructia (management and employees), Straco Grup (Alexandru and Traian Horpos), AB Construct and Cominco (held by Catalin Gemanar, Florin Rusu and Sorin Apostol).
