The value of construction works rose by 14.2% in April against March, and by 34.9% against April 2006, with the cumulated increase over the first four months standing at over 30%, according to data provided by the National Statistics Institute (INS) yesterday. Against March, construction works saw increases for all types of constructions - residential buildings (plus 41.6%), non-residential buildings (plus 20.5%) and civil engineering (plus 4.7%). As compared with April 2006, all types of buildings saw an increase in terms of value, non-residential buildings (plus 46.6%), residential buildings (plus 35.9%) and civil engineering (plus 29.4%).
