Automotive Trading Services, a company controlled by formerPrime Minister Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu, in early September shutdown the Harley Davidson motorbike showroom of Constanţa, accordingto the Official Gazette data, only several months after openingit.
Contacted by ZF, the company's representatives confirmed the data,without providing any further details.
This is the second move the former premier has made this year,after on August 1 Automotive Trading Services turned the Citroencentre of Băneasa into a Ford dealer.
The 150 square metre Harley Davidson showroom of Constanţa, locatedin the central area of the city, was launched this spring, sellingmotorbikes and protective gear, apparel and lifestyle. TheConstanţa centre was the second one, after the one inBucharest.
Automotive Trading Services plans to sell 20% more motorcycles thisyear, namely around 40 units, considering the market is furtherdeclining amid the economic downturn, according to previousstatements by Bogdan Bucurescu, general manager of AutomotiveTrading Services, who owns 20% in the company.
