Synergy Construct, a Turkish-held constructions company, has for budgeted revenues worth 46 million euros this year, 100% higher than last year.

"The doubling of the turnover is due to the major contracts we signed in the industrial constructions and logistics sector," Savas Gunata, managing partner with Synergy Construct, told ZF.

The company was set up in 2001 and had a strong business dynamic, witnessing an increase in turnover from 2 million euros in 2002, to around 23 million euros last year.

Synergy Construct business is owned by two Turkish businessmen, Savas Gunata and Huseyin Karali who have a track record of working in the construction industry, after having worked as construction experts with Turkish firms such as Enka, in Russia and Turkey. Enka works in collaboration with Bechtel US on the Transylvania highway.

"The biggest contract we have managed to sign, worth around 25 million euros, is related to Prologis project, where we are a general contractor for the first two buildings of the industrial park," specifies Gunata.

Moreover, this year the company will build six branches for the Finansbank company (Cluj, Sibiu, Iasi-two, Suceava, Bucharest), with areas ranging between 70 and 270 square metres. Synergy Construct acquired a 12,000 square metre plot of land in the Straulesti lake area, as well as a 52,000 square metre industrial platform in Popesti-Leordeni.

"At present, we are only involved in construction activities, and in 2007 we are to invest around 22 million euros in the development of a residential district for the medium-luxury segment near Straulesti lake," states Gunata.
