RCS&RDS, one of the leading players on the domestic communications market, posted a turnover worth over 300 million dollars (239 million euros at the average exchange rate announced by the National Bank for 2006), about 46% over the 2005 level. RCS&RDS did not provide any details on the profit posted in the previous year. In 2004, the company reported business worth 100 million euros. RCS&RDS, which provides integrated telecommunications services, has approximately 1.7 million subscribers for its services in Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Serbia. RCS&RDS has approximately 1.15 million cable TV subscribers, with the market leader on this segment being UPC Romania. Among these, over 650,000 people are registered as using the companyes phone services, some 400,000 as users of the Internet services and another 500,000 people are users of satellite digital TV services in Romania.
