Polisano''s top man quits

Doru Filip, the general manager of pharmaceuticals distributor Polisano based in Sibiu has quit his position with the company. "I cannot tell you what the reasons for me to quit the general manager position with Polisano were. I can only tell you that they were not financial reasons," Doru Filip told ZIARUL FINANCIAR. He added that he was not involved in the operations of another company on the pharmaceutical market. Filip, a trained engineer, had run the company''s operations since 1994. Polisano''s turnover last year amounted to 73.5 million euros, according to the data revealed by the company. It is the market leader on the segment of hospital drug suppliers, with approximately 23%, according to Filip''s estimates and accounts for 4.8% of the retail market. The company is controlled by the Vonica family. Ilie Vonica, the majority shareholder of the company was not available for comment. ZF
