The Pizza Hut restaurant chain will expand by at least five new restaurants by 2010, with the average investment per restaurant set to range between 0.5 and one million euros, depending on the location and size. "Currently, we are present on the Romanian market with 11 restaurants, with 4 in Bucharest and another 7 in Constanta, Iasi, Ramnicu Valcea, Timisoara, Bacau and Cluj. By 2010, we plan to open at least another 5 restaurants in various cities, but we cannot specify where exactly, as we target several potential cities," said Pizza Hut representatives. According to the quoted sources, between 0.5 and 1 million euros will go into each of the five future locations, which covers furnishings, necessary technical equipment, as well as training and uniforms. The Pizza Hut franchise was introduced onto the Romanian market through the company American Restaurant System, which is part of Altrom group, controlled by businessman Gabriel Popoviciu.
