Peugeot up 36%

French carmaker Peugeot sold 4,020 vehicles on the Romanian market in nine months this year, up 36% from the year-ago period, according to the data complied by the Romanian Carmakers and Importers Association (APIA). Automobiles saw the biggest sales, as 3,336 units were sold, 37% more as compared to January-September 2002. Commercial vehicles also posted a positive trend and climbed to 652 units sold, 157 more than in nine months last year. Peugeot minibuses attracted clients, who bought 32 units, from 25 last year. Peugeot 206 was the best-selling model (1400 units contracted, up from last year's 932). ZF
