Dinu Patriciu, the businessman who became a euro billionairefrom oil operations, has sealed a contract for the delivery of afleet of 20 Ford Fiesta and Mondeo models with Business DevelopmentTeam (BDT), the biggest Ford dealer in Bucharest.
Most of the cars will go to the Mic.Ro store network, accordingto some sources close to Mercadia company that develops the storenetwork.
These are small and medium-class cars most likely to be used bysales agents and not for commodity transport. Subsequently, thefleet rented by Mic.Ro will expand to around 100 cars, with thevalue of the contract revolving around 1.5m euros, according to ZFestimates.
According to the same sources, the cars are rented from BDT Rent aCar firm, a service similar with operational leasing.
{tefan Simion, general manager of BDT Grup, confirmed the existenceof a contract between Ford dealer and Mic.Ro store network, withoutproviding details about the number of cars to be delivered.
This year, Ford Fiesta model fleets have also been acquired byRomtelecom, which bought around 500 cars, and by Orange.
