British drug maker Ozone Laboratories has posted approximately 4.5 million euro turnover at the end of the first three months of the year, in line with the company''s plans for the Romanian market for 2005. The company made 11.5 million euro turnover last year, with this year''s forecasts pointing to total sales of 28 million euros. The nutritional supplement market is one of the company''s priorities for this year. "Ozone Laboratories intends to boost the share of turnover derived from this segment from 17% in 2004 to 25% in 2005. The vitamin market is growing, as consumers are becoming increasingly more aware of the benefits of such nutritional supplements. More and more patients are going for preventive treatments and natural remedies," commented Dan Schiopu, general manager of Ozone Romania. The investments planned for 2005 are in excess of 5.2 million euros. Out of this amount over 3 million euros will be invested in the development of the product portfolio and registration of these products on the Romanian market and on six other markets in the Central and Eastern Europe.
