Corporate Office Solutions (COS), importer of Steelcase furniture products, in the first six months of the year reached turnover worth 7.5 million euros, up 110% against the corresponding period of last year. "Turnover growth was triggered on the one hand by market growth and on the other hand by the diversification of services COS provides, particularly architecture and project management ones," specified Tudor Chindea, COS sales manager. For this year, the company projects turnover worth 15 million euros. "Office furniture demand has been going up for several years, with growth of at least 20% compared with the first half of last year," says COS representative. Furniture demand rose both due to the strong development of the real estate sector, and the companies' need for increased employee comfort and higher efficiency of the workspace. The value of the Romanian office furniture market is likely to come to 50 million euros this year.
