Medsana invests 0.8m euros in Ploiesti clinic

Medical service provider Medsana, a member of the Greek group Athens Medical, will invest 800,000 euros to open a clinic in Ploiesti by the end of this year. Medsana currently has three clinics in Bucharest. "As a short-term investment, Medsana intends to set up its own network of clinics in the major cities of the country," say company representatives. Medsana posted a turnover worth 12.23 million RON (3.38 million euros) in 2005, a 22% increase in RON against 2004. The net profit stood at 1.83 million RON (0.5 million euros), against the 1.67 million RON (0.4 million euros) seen in the previous year. For this year, the company budgeted an increase in its business to 16 million euros (over 4.5 million euros) and a net profit of 2.6 million RON (over 0.7 million euros). Three months into the year, Medsana''s turnover increased by 35% against the first quarter of 2005, thus reaching 3.6 million RON (some 1 million euros). ZF
