Tractor and farming equipment manufacturer MAT Craiova closed a leasing contract worth 2.17 million euros with UniCredit Leasing Romania to acquire industrial equipment, according to information published in the Official Gazette. The contract will be guaranteed by means of a mortgage on buildings owned by the company. MAT Craiova manufactures tractors and farming equipment, with part of the company's output being exported to countries such as Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, Bulgaria and Croatia. The company has not yet revealed its financial results for 2005. The company's majority shareholder is Alexandria-based Autocora, which owns 67.78% of the shares. An additional 10.1% stake is owned by SIF Oltenia.
