Marko Bela not planning to revise co-operation protocol with PSD

04.09.2001, 00:00 6

In an interview granted to Hungarian daily Nepszabadsag, the leader of the Democrat Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR) Marko Bela says that the amplification of nationalist statements by governing party representatives and the current economic situation might hurt Romania's NATO joining and the protocol with UDMR.

Marko Bela is not planning to revise the collaboration protocol signed with PSD (Social Democrat Party), which will be assessed next week together with leaders of the governing party.

When commenting upon the recent statements of certain governing party representatives, UDMR president Marko Bela said," I think that some PSD politicians are high on glory. They say a lot and they say it badly. They behave as if the cooperation with us is no longer important for them (...)."
