Greek-held packaging and packing equipment maker MJ Maillis Romania has installed a new productive line set to boost the annual capacity of the facility in Buftea by 1,400 tonnes. The new equipment will make thermo-contractible foil and entailed a 0.5 million-euro investment. The output will be sold on both the domestic and the international markets. The company has three distribution centres in Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Iasi. The packaging maker has set aside 2 million euros for investments this year. Maillis' development strategy aims to offer complex packing solutions, including both packaging and packing equipment. The company is the leading player on the Romanian secondary packaging market, estimated at $25-$30 million. ZF
