SSD (Sport System Development) Lotto Romania, the distributor of the Lotto-branded sports gear and of the Stonefly footwear line will expand its own retail network by two more stores with the total investment amounting to approximately one million euros. "We currently have 14 stores in Bucharest, Constanta, Brasov, Ploiesti, Iasi and Cluj, and will open two more stores in Bacau and Timisoara," Lotto Romania chairman Razvan Rosca on Thursday said. Lotto and Stonefly products are also sold through a further 50 stores, hypermarkets and cash & carry stores. The company expects sales to increase by 30% this year, compared with 2003 when they reached 7.5 million euros. "SSD-Lotto Romania intends to see turnover grow by 25% for the Lotto and Stonefly brands, and by 50% for the other products," Rosca specified. The company began importing a series of sports-related products last year, such as fitness machines, Olympic swimming pools and synthetic grass. ZF
