Slovenia-based Kemofarmacija has put out a tender offer to take over drug distributor Pharmafarm, now held by Lek Pharmatech and a number of individual shareholders, for 2.5 million euros. Pharmafarm's majority shareholder is Kemofarmacija, based in Ljubljana, which owns 59.9%, while Lek Pharmatech Romania owns 35.1%. The remaining 4.9% are held by individual shareholders.

Pharmafarm is listed on RASDAQ, and its market capitalisation reaches approximately 3.7 million euros. The Slovenians are offering 7,918 ROL/share, while Pharmafarm last traded for 4,600 ROL/share. At the end of last month, Germany's Celesio, the leading drug distributor and retailer in Europe, announced it would take over 31.4% in Kemofarmacija from the Lek pharmaceutical group, planning to get the rest of the shares, as well.
