Turism Felix will modernise the International Hotel in the resort of Baile Felix, with a view to affiliating it to a foreign chain, based on a franchising contract. "We are in talks over the affiliation of the hotel and hope it will be included in an international chain as of next year," the company''s marketing manager Livia Oprea stated. The investments in the modernisation of the International Hotel will amount to 35 million RON (11 million euros) and will be completed by June 2006. The complex, rated as three stars was built in 1978. It can accommodate 404 people, while the restaurant capacity stands at 450 seats. There are also conference rooms, bars and a treatment facility that has room for 400 people. The main shareholder is SIF Transilvania with 74%, followed by SIF Oltenia (11%) and Rieni Drinks (7.2%).
