19.08.2004, 00:00 12

In the first five months of this year, independent producers and self-producers of electrical power contributed 10.6% to the wholesale market in terms of electricity supplied in networks, according to data made public by the National Regulation Authority for Electrical and Thermal Energy (ANRE). Power production by SNP Petrom, Romag and another 11 stations in the first half of this year was at least twice as high as production registered by Termoelectrica, a power producer that dominated the market two years ago, before its activity was heavily reorganised. By comparison, Termoelectrica previously contributed 56-60% in terms of power production, while self-producers and independent producers contributed just 4%. According to the data presented, Hidroelectrica produced 31.2% on the electrical power market, Electrocentrale Bucharest 17.5%, and Nuclearelectrica 11%. ZF
