HP launches "buy and try" in Romania

11.03.2003, 00:00 7

"Just return it if you don't like it" is no new concept for the international  marketing. It is used in Romania, as well, although it is the buyer that has to press for it and is even regulated by a law in the case of durables. Only that, as far as we can tell, no company has been explicitly offering such a service until now. Hewlett-Packard Romania is, therefore, breaking the ice. The Bucharest branch of the leading PC and printer maker Hewlett-Packard and its partner Flamingo Computers have launched the "Buy and try" programme. Every client that buys an all-in-one PSC 2210 equipment (printer, fax machine, copier and scanner) has 30 days to decide whether they want to keep it or not. PSC 2210 simply has too many features for any potential buyer to discover during a several hour trial at the store, according to the HP officials, who this way argue the launch of the new programme. The client that buys a PSC 2210 and is not pleased with it may return it and get the money paid for the machine back. This product, which reads digital camera memory cards and prints the pictures on special paper, among others, comes at a promotional price of 299 euros. ZF
