20.03.2007, 18:32 22

Business services and technological solutions provider Genpact, a division of General Electric, will hire around 450 people by the end of this year, aiming to double its personnel by 2008, which will bring the total of employees to almost 2,000. Currently, the company has over 450 employees in Romania. "We are doubling our staff this year and we would like to double it next year, as well. It is a sound growth rate and we think it will keep accelerating," Patrick Cogny, CEO of Genpact for Europe told ZF. As for next year's hiring plan, it will be put together depending on the contracts signed this year. "We intend to open more centres in Romania, one of which by the end of this year," said the CEO, without specifying any exact locations. Of the 450 people to be employed this year, 70% will be recruited for entry-level positions, while the remainder will be employed for management posts and jobs involving greater expertise.
