Friesland increases capital by 5m euros

25.11.2004, 00:00 4

Friesland Romania, the subsidiary of Dutch food group Friesland Coberco, has increased its share capital by 202.6bn ROL (some 5 million euros) to 206.7bn ROL through a contribution in cash from shareholders. Friesland shareholders decided to make this increase early in August, and the operation was accompanied by the issuing of 202,684,657 shares at a par value of 1,000 ROL. "The money has already reached the company and a series of investments are scheduled to be made. Friesland has, after all, made investments in its Romanian business almost every year," said Oana Frunzar, Friesland's economic manager. The increase was necessary because Friesland's share capital after the merger with three companies in 2002 was only 4.1bn ROL. ZF
