Romcar, the importer of Ford cars on the domestic market, last year registered gross income worth seven million RON (almost 2 million euros), according to the with data published in the Official Gazette. As shown by Finance Ministry data, the company had posted gross losses standing at almost 1.5 million RON in 2004. According to the same sources, the company last year reached turnover worth 57.8 million RON (almost 16 million euros), down form the 79 million RON (around 20 million euros) posted in the previous year. Romcar, the representative of Ford US brand on the domestic market, owns a network of approximately 20 authorised dealers countrywide. Its biggest dealer is Romcar Motors, a company that split from Romcar several years ago.
