Farmec Cluj, the largest Romanian producer on the cosmetics market, forecasts its sales on the international market will reach almost 2.4 million euros this year, up 10% on 2007. Currently, exports account for 10% of the company's revenues, i.e. almost 2.15 million euros. "We are planning to expand our exports on the Asian markets: Hong Kong, China, South Korea, as well as to boost our sales on the EU markets, as consumers in these countries have gained increasingly more confidence in Romanian products. We are currently exporting to most EU countries," said Mariana Sinitaru, marketing specialist of Farmec Cluj. The company has been exporting for over 30 years and currently exports to more than 60 countries. Apart from EU countries, Farmec Cluj also exports to Japan, the US, Latin America and the United Arab Emirates. The best selling product ranges in are Gerovital H3, Gerovital Plant and Aslavital, which account for around 20% of the company's turnover.
