Sandoz pharmaceutical company, owning two production facilitiesin Romania in Targu Mures, estimates exports will come to weigh 95%in turnover this year, from 50% in previous years. "We've increasedthe percentage of sales going to foreign markets amid the difficultclimate on the Romanian market generated by falling prices," saidIztok Sever, Sandoz Romania and Bulgaria country head. The mainexport markets of Sandoz are most states in Europe, as well as theUS and other areas. "We're signing contracts almost each month,"Sever said. Sandoz production facilities last year generatedturnover worth 68.9m euros and losses of 8.5m euros, according toFinance Ministry data. This turnover level places Sandoz among thetop five drug makers, according to ZF data.
