10.01.2006, 18:50 5

Real estate investment company Equest Balkan Properties, based in the UK, has bought an office building in Bucharest in a 4.7 million-euro deal. The British fund last month announced investment plans worth 100 million euros aimed at the acquisition of office and retail space projects on the Romanian market. Equest representatives verified for ZIARUL FINANCIAR that the property fund had been in final talks for the acquisition of the building located in the Domenii area in Bucharest. "We are in talks for other real estate projects, too, but I cannot provide any more details at the moment," Ionut Costea, a member of Equest''s Board of Directors stated. Ionut Costea is also the chairman of Raiffeisen Banca pentru Locuinte (Raiffeisen Housing Bank - RBL), but his position with Equest Balkan is not executive. ZF
