Energobit: investment boost prompts higher sales

07.09.2006, 19:24 7

The Energobit group based in Cluj, which manufactures electric equipment, posted a turnover worth 17.3 million euros in the first six months of the year, accounting for a 24% increase against the same period of last year. "The positive signals sent by the national economy encouraged higher investments in all fields of activity, which led to a demand for electrical equipment and complex works in the field of electrical power. Also, customers have become increasingly concerned about energy-related expenditure lately amid growing concerns for reducing consumption in this sector," Peter Pal, vice-president of Energobit told ZF. According to him, the trend seen in the first half will be sustained in the second part of the year, as the Energobit group has one-year contracts underway worth over 20 million euros. Company management estimates turnover worth some 45 million euros for this year. Last year the group exceeded its estimates, posting 14% higher turnover than initially expected for 2005.
