10.07.2008, 18:37 21

Valentin Nita, 40, the former general manager of Cumpana, the second largest player on the watercooler distribution market, has taken over as country sales director of the constructions division of the local subsidiary of Finnish group Ruukki, a supplier of metal-based products and services. "It is a professional challenge for me, since we are talking about a growing sector - that of construction materials," Valentin Nita, who replaces Mircea Uta, told ZF. The new country sales director will report to a manager outside Romania, from the company's Central and Eastern European division. Nita was at the helm of Cumpana for almost a year, a company with turnover estimated at around 5,5 million euros in 2007, and has almost ten years of experience in the telecom field. Cumpana representatives could not be contacted for comment. Nita worked for seven years (1996 - 2003) with mobile phone operator Vodafone, where his last position was of logistics and real estate manager. From 2004 to 2006, he worked with Romtelecom, first as regional administrative manager, than as part of the real estate division of the largest fixed telephony operator on the market.
