Cramele Recas, a wine producer in Timis county and one of the most dynamic players on the domestic market, registered domestic sales worth 2.3m euros in the first half of this year, up 50% against the same period last year. The company, which has been one of the biggest wine exporters in recent years, has recently changed its policy and started to focus on the domestic market. As a result, whilst three years ago the company's domestic sales accounted for 10% of the overall sales, they have now come to account for 65% of the overall volumes delivered by the company. The company expects this year's turnover to revolve around 6m euros (20m RON), compared with almost 4m euros (14m RON) in 2006. Cramele Recas sold 1.4 million bottles of wine on the domestic market in the first six months. This year, Cramele Recas plans to develop a logistics infrastructure to ensure the distribution of its products in stores across the entire country.
