The construction of the second stage of the 1.1bn-euro wind farmCEZ announced it would raise in two localities of Dobrogea could becancelled, with the over 450m-euro investment the Czech companyplanned to carry out in Cogealac being blocked for several reasons.While the Czech company says all its documents are in order,Cogealac mayoralty says the plots of land where the wind turbinesshould be installed do not belong to CEZ, a reason why the entireauthorisation chain is blocked. "For the second stage of theproject, CEZ has already got all the permits and licenses. (...)The only document we now need to start works is the constructionpermit (...)," say CEZ Romania representatives. Cogealac mayoraltymaintains something completely different, though. "To get to roadconsolidation, they have several stages to go through before. Theyhaven't filed any document with the mayoralty," says Hristu Cati,Cogealac mayor since 2008.
