Mircea Bulboacă, one of the biggest entrepreneurs in Sibiu,owner of CON-A construction company, which employs 600, saysstarting in the second half of 2010 a lot of foreign companies withfacilities in Romania decided to expand production or officeareas.
Based on these contracts, the business of CON-A went up by over30%, to 44 million euros.
"Considering that our portfolio includes over 24 plants built overthe course of our 20 years in business, we have received requestsfrom former clients to expand these constructions. We have also wonnew contracts to build hypermarkets," Mircea Bulboacă, owner ofCON-A group, told ZF Transilvania. For this year, the company hasbudgeted a turnover increase to at least 45 million euros.According to the website of the Finance Ministry, the Sibiu firmended 2009 with an over 123.3 million-lei (around 30 million-euro)turnover.
CON-A is also involved, alongside ACI Cluj, TransilvaniaConstrucţii, Dico şi Ţigănaş and Bogart Construct, in building the"Ion Moina" stadium in Cluj, an investment set to amount to 45million euros.
