Builder of Cluj stadium: Many foreign companies have started to expand plants
Mircea Bulboacă, one of the biggest entrepreneurs in Sibiu, owner of CON-A construction company, which employs 600, says starting in the second half of 2010 a lot of foreign companies with facilities in Romania decided to expand production or office areas.
Based on these contracts, the business of CON-A went up by over
30%, to 44 million euros.
"Considering that our portfolio includes over 24 plants built over
the course of our 20 years in business, we have received requests
from former clients to expand these constructions. We have also won
new contracts to build hypermarkets," Mircea Bulboacă, owner of
CON-A group, told ZF Transilvania. For this year, the company has
budgeted a turnover increase to at least 45 million euros.
According to the website of the Finance Ministry, the Sibiu firm
ended 2009 with an over 123.3 million-lei (around 30 million-euro)
turnover.
CON-A is also involved, alongside ACI Cluj, Transilvania
Construcţii, Dico şi Ţigănaş and Bogart Construct, in building the
"Ion Moina" stadium in Cluj, an investment set to amount to 45
million euros.
